We could talk about Anna Wintour, a great queen in the fashion world, which have revolutionized and influences celebrities, designers.. but who is Grace Coddington? I want to write about his right hand, because we sometimes forget who is the people who make possible essential magazines like; VOGUE.Grace was born on the island of Anglesey, Wales, en 1941. Her interest in fashion began in her teens, when she wait anxiously the arrival of a new issue of the magazine. She ended up winning the Young Model section, here began her modeling career for Vogue. Later in her career, Grace had a car accident, her eye area went into the driving mirror, leaving her disfigured. She later had plastic surgery to have it reconstructed. At the age of 28, she was interviewed by British Vogue?s Editor, Beatrix Miller, and started as an employed Junior Editor. In July 1988 she joined Anna Wintour at U.S Vogue (for which Anna would later become Editor-In-Chief).
Grace came further into public eye in 2009 though the release of The Septembre Issue, a fly-on-the-wall documentary on the making of the September 2007 issue of Vogue. In many ways she is the second star of the film, ending up styling and producing the majority of the spreads in the issue. Her often tense relationship with Anna Wintour is also highlighted.
